Yyteri is known for its mid-summer beach fun and water sports, but in the darkness of winter and autumn the atmosphere is one of peace, relaxation and tranquillity. At dusk, the hustle and bustle of the day and the glow of the city’s artificial lights are left behind, and Yyteri can be experienced in a whole new way. Natural darkness has become a rare luxury for mankind: only a small proportion of the world’s inhabitants can experience darkness or gaze at the moon and stars. Come and discover Yyteri and its dark side on a peaceful walk, and hear stories about the nautical twilight and the meaning of the rising moon, among other things.
The guided tour is available after dark from September to March.
