Join us aboard a traditional fishing boat for a visit to Säppi lighthouse island!
T:mi Tommi Salokangas organises day trips to Säppi, an island that has played a significant role in the maritime history of the Bothnian Sea. The nature of Säppi is diverse, and it is part of Bothnian Sea National Park. Thus, the island attracts both nature lovers and lighthouse enthusiasts. In fact, the lighthouse is one of the finest in Finland and it was renovated for its current glory in summer 2021. The trip includes the possibility to visit the lighthouse.
Boat trips to Säppi are available on Wednesdays and Sundays + on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the weeks 28 and 29
Tours are day trips at 2pm–6pm.
However, on Sundays July 17th and 24th there are two departures: at 1pm and 2pm, with arrival at 5pm and 6pm. Choose your preferred departure time upon making the reservation.
On Sundays: 3.7., 10.7., 17.7. (departures at 1pm and 2pm), 24.7. (departures at 1pm and 2pm) and 31.7.
On Tuesdays: 12.7. and 19.7.
On Wednesdays: 6.7., 13.7., 20.7., 27.7. and 3.8.
On Thursdays: 14.7. and 21.7.
Price: 40 €/adults, 20 €/children under 12 years
Group size: min. 1 and max. 11 persons
Duration: approx. 4 hours
Departure: Kuuminainen cape, Salokankaantie 54 (approx. 20 km from the centre of Pori)

Boat trip on a fishing boat (open boat): approx. 30 minutes / one way
Weather reservation: Wind limit 12 m/s. If Säppi is inaccessible, it is possible to visit the island of Nirvo.
Clothing: Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and footwear suitable for cross-country walking.
Please note, that there is a risk of getting wet during the boat ride (open boat) and it can be much colder at sea than on the mainland!
